JSS College for Women, Saraswathipuram is all set to flare up for the intercollegiate competition as a part of Management and Commerce Fest. The event titled Äntar Agni” is organized by the JSS Department of Commerce on 27th and 28th of February.

With the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri. Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the event will be inaugurated by Prof. Shivappa, Registrar, University of Mysore and will be presided by Dr.C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSSMVP. Notable personalities from business and cinema fields will also attend the function. On the final day, Sri. K. Ullas Kamath, Joint Managing Director, Jyothy Laboratories Ltd. will address the valedictory and will be presided by Prof. R. Mugeshappa, Joint Director, Dept. of Collegiate Education, Mysore.

Jataveda (Best Manager), Vaisvanara (Human Resource), Rithambhara (Marketing), Hiranyareta (Treasure Hunt), Brhatbanu (Banking and Insurance), Kshitij (Group Dance) are the list of events organized as a part of the two day celebration.

Mysuru, February 11, 2020: The Sri Shivarathreeshwara Dharmika Datti, of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, is bestowing the ‘Sri Shivarathreeshwara Award’ every year for the best literature, since 1983. The award includes Rs.25,000 cash prize, certificate and a memento.

This year applications are invited for the best literature on Veerashaiva/Lingayath religion, literature, history, arts and culture, for this award.

Interested authors, publishers are requested to send the copies of their literature/books for the perusal of the Committee, to the Director, Publishing Department, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shaivarthri Rajendra Circle, Mysuru – 570004, within April 15,2020.

Persons who are interested in literature and scholars who have more information about these subjects can also send the details of the books during this period, along with their complete address and telephone numbers.

Bengaluru Jan Shikshan Sansthana has been a pioneering institute of this kind in the state of Karnataka, started functioning from the year 1979. It has been sponsored by the then Ministry of Education and Culture, Government of India, under the erst-while Shramik Vidyapeeth Scheme and was functioning under the aegis of Education Department, Government of Karnataka.

From the year 2001, as per the Government of India’s Policy, it has been brought under the management of JSS Mahavidyapeetha , a leading organization having a network of more than 350 institutions. Entire Bengaluru urban district is the area of operation.

Every year the Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Bengaluru imparts skill development training courses for out of school youths, who are not having access to the formal ITIs and Polytechniques. The beneficiaries of these training courses have got wage employment and majority of them have become self-employed ones.

Qualification and Experience

Essential:

• Second Class Master’s degree from a recognized university.
• Seven years experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably but not necessarily in the field of education or social sciences.
• Working knowledge of the local language both written & spoken.

Desirable:

• Experience in Administration or Management/Accounts.
• BBA or MBA – Diploma/degree.
• Experience in leading a team.
• Experience in heading an organization.

Age : Maximum 55 years on the date of application

Terms and Conditions

• The position shall be purely on contractual basis for a period of ordinarily not exceeding five years out of which the first year of the first term will be the probation period.
• The Board of Management may consider renewal of the contract/extension of the contract period of Director for a further period of five years on expiry of each five year tenure or termination of the scheme whichever is earlier.
• Age of superannuation of the Director should be 60 years.
• The selected candidate will be paid by the Board of Management of the Jan Shikshan Sansthan, a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 30,000/- per month.
